  • Changes

How does one decide to follow a different path? Accident? Horrible event? Moment of Truth? or what? The list goes on and on. Someone once remarked to me that if you want to change yourself that means you don't appreciate yourself. Damn right! How can you appreciate yourself if you have self-destructing habits?

As the time goes, there are many changes happening to our very selves. One of the immediate effects if you want to change, is to change your habits. And then goes the hard one: friends. Birds of the same feather fly together. You want to join another flock? Better conform to that one. Dropping friends has been the hardest thing till now. Keep those who want to push you towards the best of the best.

  • The Next Wonder

    Welcome back!
Today as I was driving along the streets of much-polluted beloved Beijing, a thought occured to me. There as supposed to be miracles and wonders almost every day. Some of those wonders are not very significant to be recognized by many as special. Yet some are special indeed. Like this one in Canada:

A 35-year-old Canadian woman has given birth to rare identical quadruplets doctors reported Thursday.
Karen Jepp of Calgary, Alberta, delivered Autumn, Brooke, Calissa and Dahlia by Caesarian section Sunday afternoon at Benefis Healthcare hospital in Great Falls, Mont. The four girls were breathing without ventilators and listed in good condition Thursday.

The babies were born about two months early and were conceived without fertility drugs. They weighed between 2.6 pounds and 2.15 pounds.

"This is a very big medical event," One unnamed doctor said. "Identical quadruplets are extremely rare". Scientists have calculated the chances of giving birth to identical quadruplets to be about one in 13 million.

The last reported quadruplets were born in April 2006 to a 26-year-old Indian woman.

Wow! Now that could be a wonder!

  • A New Day

Today is one of those days when one can say, "ah, I did it!!". I have been wanting to write a blog of my own and finally I have managed. Thanks to the blog.co.uk, some of us are realizing that we can even jot some unseemingly meaningless lines which have a powerful effect on us. Today I will want us to ponder on this great poem of whose origins I do not know...

    I am your constant companion;

I am your greatest helper or your heaviest burden.

I will push you onward or drag you down to failure.

    I am at your command.

Half of the tasks that you do you might just as well

Turn over to me and I will do them quickly and correctly.

I am easily managed; you must merely be firm with me.

Show me exactly how you want something done.

After a few lessons, I will do it automatically.

I am the servant of all great people

and the regret of all failures as well.

Those who are great, I have made great.

Those who are failures, I have made failures.

I am not a machine but I will work with all its precision

Plus the intelligence of a person.

Now you may run me for profit or you may run me for ruin.

It makes no difference to me.

Take me, train me, be firm with me and

I will lay the world at your feet.

Be easy with me and I will destroy you.

    I am called Habit!

So just ponder on these powerful words....

    Till later!
